EUTP 1166 - Basic AC Circuits3 hr(s). This course is designed to teach students the basic concepts of alternating current specific to the industrial worksite. Topics include series and parallel circuits, electromagnetism, transformers, motors, generators, circuit protection devices, and other key electrical components, and an overview of site and off-site electrical distribution. A “C” or better is required for successful completion of this course. Prerequisite(s): EUTP 1165 and MTH 1208 with a “C” or better in each Restriction(s): Electric Utility Technology majors
