LPNC 1120 - Maternal/Pediatric Nursing for the Practical Nurse

This course is designed to provide LPN students with foundational knowledge in pediatric and obstetric nursing. The course covers essential topics, including maternal and newborn health care, pregnancy and fetal development, labor and delivery, and postpartum care. Students will gain a deep understanding of these key concepts through theoretical instruction, case studies, and in-depth discussions, focusing on the physiological, psychological, and emotional aspects of maternal and pediatric care. The course aims to equip students with the knowledge necessary to support the health and well-being of both mothers and infants throughout the pregnancy and postpartum periods. Successful completion of all laboratory, theoretical, and clinical components are required to receive credit for this course.
