~MTH 1207 - Fundamental Concepts of Mathematics3 hr(s). This introductory survey course is specifically developed to fulfill the General Studies requirements in mathematics. It is designed to strengthen computational skills while focusing on real-world problems. Topics may include critical thinking skills, sequences, set theory, logic, probability, statistics, consumer mathematics and the metric system. This course does not serve as a prerequisite for any higher level mathematics course. Prerequisite(s): Students who meet or exceed the WVHEPC Series 21 minimum test scores are eligible for admission into the traditional 3-credit/3-contact hour math classes. Students who do not meet the minimum math test score will be required to enroll in a 2-credit/2-contact support course (S) in addition to the 3-credit/3-contract hour math course.
