RADI 2231 - Radiation Physics II2 hr(s). This course is a continuation of the fundamentals of matter, energy and mechanics and provides a detail study of the application in the radiologic sciences. The course also covers electromagnetic & particulate radiation, radiation production, energy transmission, interaction with matter, and x-ray generating equipment. The course is designed to provide the student with a comprehensive knowledge of radiation and its properties in an effort to minimize the potential radiation hazards to the patient and radiographer. 48 clock hours. The successful completion of this course with a “C” or better is required for graduation. Restriction(s): Radiologic Technology majors
