Program Purpose
This Skill Set is designed to enable students to explore basic techniques of web design. Students will use contemporary design software to create and edit web pages.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Discuss professional web design (technologies, software, principles).
- Critique web pages/websites based on the latest web design trends and accessibility criteria.
- Plan and conceptualize a professional web design project.
- Design simple web pages using a professional authoring tool.
- Design interactive content for web pages.
Opportunities
Professionals with these skills can work with digital designers on content strategy, graphic design, user interfaces and copywriting These skills are used in settings where digital marketing dominates, such as social media production, online educational platforms, marketing and digital advertising.
