WELD 1189 - Internship/Cooperative Work Experience2 hr(s). A summer internship is a student practicum for the purpose of gaining experience while working as a temporary employee of a company in the welding industry. The student must satisfactorily work a minimum of 320 hours to qualify for two credit hours towards the Advanced Welding AAS Degree. Instructor approval required. Prerequisite(s): Minimum of 24 credit hours must be completed within the welding program prior to this course, including WELD 1005 and WELD 1010 , within and overall GPA of 2.5 or higher; must meet all employer-related eligibility standards.
