MLAB 1160 - Clinical Microbiology I3 hr(s). This course is an introduction to the study of medically important bacteria and parasites. The biochemistry, genetics, and physiology of bacteria will be discussed as well as methods of cultivation, isolation, and identification of these organisms. Life cycles of parasites and methods of identification will be studied. Successful completion of this course with “C” or better is required for graduation. Prerequisite(s): MLAB 1101 , MLAB 1102 & MLAB 1160L (concurrently) Restriction(s): Medical Laboratory Technology majors
