HLIN 1109 - Health Care Statistics3 hr(s). Hospital statistics is a course in which the methods of computing statistics of health care institutions and storage areas for this material will be discussed. Basic statistics applicable in health care institutions will be introduced. The course will include the study of vital and public health statistics, review of simple arithmetic principles as warranted, in depth study of hospital statistics; sources, definitions, collection, reporting, presentation and analysis of data, sources and uses of health data in the United States. Applicable statistical software will be utilized. Prerequisite(s): HLIN 1100 or MBC 1100 Restriction(s): Health Information Technology majors
