ENTR 1112 - Small Business Resources3 hr(s). This course will introduce critical thinking and analysis skills for small business owners. Students will evaluate common small business issues using tools and methods of critical analysis with the goal of improving business operations and performance. Students will also be guided through the process of determining funding needs, exploring funding opportunities and building business relationships. Funding topics will include capital and collateral, loans, grants writing, micro-lending, equity financing, angel investors, and venture capital. Business relationships topics include establishing mentor relationships; accessing informational resources; and securing business support resources that assist entrepreneurs in maintaining a successful venture.
