LPNC 1135 - Medical Surgical Nursing II Clinical Practicum for the Practical Nurse

This practicum course provides students with hands-on clinical experience designed to build upon the foundational knowledge gained in the classroom. This practicum allows students to apply critical concepts and clinical practices in a variety of physiological systems, preparing them to care for patients with complex medical and surgical conditions. Students will work directly with patients in real-world settings, developing both foundational and advanced nursing skills in the assessment and management of conditions affecting multiple body systems. Throughout the practicum, students will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in clinical scenarios, hone their skills in critical thinking, patient care, and clinical decision-making, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, students will develop the confidence and competence to care for patients with a broad range of medical and surgical conditions, providing high-quality, evidence-based care in a variety of medical-surgical settings. Successful completion of all laboratory, theoretical, and clinical components are required to receive credit for this course.
